The dedolight PB70 (DPB70 Parallel Beam Light) redefines what professional film, TV, and photography lighting can achieve. Engineered with cutting-edge Infinity Lighting technology, the PB70 simulates natural daylight and creates the illusion of light coming from an infinite distance — just like real sunlight.
Traditional lighting fixtures follow the Inverse Square Law, meaning brightness falls off rapidly with distance, which can cause exposure problems when actors or objects move. The PB70 overcomes this limitation with a 70cm parabolic reflector that delivers an ultra‑parallel 2° beam of light. This design produces a powerful virtual light source, allowing consistent illumination with minimal light fall-off.
Extreme Light Output & Efficiency: At 5m (16.4 ft) the PB70 measures approx. 112,000 lux, and even at 10m (32.8 ft) still delivers 68,000 lux — far outperforming traditional 1200W HMI lights.
Natural Sunlight Simulation: Creates shadows and shafts of light similar to daylight, perfect for replicating sunlight through windows or daylight ambiance indoors.
Minimal Exposure Shift: Because of its parallel beam, subjects can move closer or farther from the light without drastic exposure changes.
Portable Power: Runs on a household circuit — no need for large generators, unlike 7kW Xenons or oversized HMIs.
Flexible Operation: Can be mounted in any position without overheating, IP63-rated for use in light rain, and compatible with dedolight Lightstream reflectors for advanced light shaping.
Professional Control: Features flicker-free electronic ballast, DMX readiness, hot re-strike capability, and extended dimming range (100–60%).
The dedolight DPB70 replaces bulky setups like Condors and oversized HMI systems, making it ideal for both studio and location lighting setups. Instead of parking massive lights far outside, the PB70 lets you place a Lightstream reflector just a few meters away and still achieve sunlight-quality beams in tight spaces.
Whether you’re lighting for cinema, commercials, or high-end photography, the dedolight PB70 Infinity Lighting system delivers unmatched realism, efficiency, and control — bringing the power of sunlight indoors.

Germinal (2021) is a 6 part French television series lit by Cinematographer Xavier Dolléans who used the dedolight Lightstream system extensively on this production. Cinematographer, Xavier Dolléans, on working with the dedolight Lightstream system, specially the dedolight PB70, which is a 1200W parallel beam light; and also the dedolight DLH400 HMI and dedolight DLED 10 with parallel beam intensifiers.
